Doodle Whore's Dream Ticket: Obama + Moz 2008

I've been a huge Morrissey fan since I was a mopey black clad teen in the 80's. My greeting card company, Handsome Devil Press, is named after a Smiths b-side. I was thrilled to discover that Moz is endorsing Obama for President and I simply had to doodle these two inspirational figures together. The tagline of their campaign is a play on the title of Morrissey's classic first solo album, Viva Hate. I put together a little shop of goodies at the Doodle Whore Store if you want to wear your support on your sleeve, tote bag, or mug. I will donate a portion of proceeds directly to the Obama campaign as well as Morrissey's fave organization, PETA.

Since I'd be totally happy with either an Obama or Hillary nominee this year, stay tuned for my Hillary dream ticket doodle coming soon.

    I'll also be happy with either Obama or Clinton.
    Morrissey's endorsement absolutely pleases me. I've also been a fan of his since the 80s. Brings back great memories of smoking clove cigarettes, drinking wine colors, wearing all black, coloring my hair burgundy, and dancing with my female friends. Oh simpler times........
    Love the doodle as always.

    So even though America is not the world...he is helping out. Whatta guy. At least we know who that guy from Fall Out Boy will be voting for now!

    Seriously though, awesome doodle! I was one of the people who voted for Morrissey in your "who should I doodle" poll! I completely love the mad bastard and the fact that he's supporting Obama basically makes him more fantastic. Love how you included the Je Suis Morrissey tshirt. Oh, that quiff.

    I couldn't agree more regarding Hillary or Obama as my choice. I'd like to see an Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama ticket. Wouldn't that be wild? The republicans are stuck with chicken hawk McCain. I believe Clinton or Obama will be our next Prez.

    Moz is endorsing Obama, eh? Who said Obama is endorsing Moz? Who said he has even heard of him. Showing them smiling together indicates they have at least met, and I'm sure they haven't. This is a complete misreprestentation. I assume you will be drawing profit from this image.

    2. You're going to donate some to a political campaign? Morally, from such a misrepresentational image, that is clearly wrong, but in law, I'm not sure.
    3. You're donating some to PETA? I don't think Obama's campaign will be thrilled with the connection (even though I'm all for PETA's existance).
    I think you're immature and misguided if you think this is all fine and dandy. You might be hopeful that Obama gets in, and over here in the UK, I hope he does too. But all this is wrong. It leaves a bad taste. Hope you don't upset someone, or HURT the Obama campaign.

    "Come on, it's just a doodle," - no it's a design. The design is on merchandise. The merchandise is for sale. "The guy isn't outside a Moz concert selling $30 Obama/Moz tee shirts or anything!" - no, he's selling them online at $14.99. What exactly is the point you are trying to make?

    too bad obama just tells you what you want to hear and doesn't have any real plans. i'd rather vote for morrissey.
